Yulia Muzhichenko is an intern with the CRISP in Berlin since January 2017, where she supports the CRISP team. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Political Economy and European Integration at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (BSEL). During her master’s degree, she had an opportunity to do her internship in a two different organizations.

CRISP’s work in developing conflict simulations and training in conflict transformation, educating young people via civic education, is therefore, something, which is an urgent need in these chaotic times.
Being from Georgia and working with CRISP I have learned that education in conflict management and learning how to resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner vis simulation-games is not only an area of interests to me, but is something of the utmost importance in resolving the current conflicts that Georgia faces.

During my internship with CRISP is, therefore, was the ideal place for me to gain practical experience in simulation-games as well as helping with administrative, logistic tasks of the projects. I believe that it is necessary to teach and bring together young people through civic education if we are going to overcome both current and future conflicts.  Organizing activities and seminars is an important way we can build bridges between societies and young activists, while educating future generations how to resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner.
