Short Bio

Anastasiia Halyko is from Ukraine and prior to joining CRISP as EVS volunteer had gained 7 years of voluntary experience in different social projects and youth work. She was an organizer, team leader, speaker at numerous events on local or national level.

These initiatives aimed to develop Ukraine and its civic society in different ways: to name a few, these were exchanges that showed how different and at the same time similar the citizens of different regions are and that there is no need in separation; camps on leadership, human trafficking, gender equality; projects related to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and anti-stigmatization. She also works closely with Peace Corps (USA) volunteers. In 2018 and 2019, Nastya was a co-director of Camp Model United Nations Ukraine that gathers over 80 counselors and participants each summer for a week.

Mainly she works with youth, as it is very passionate about social changes and is open to non-formal education. They are the driving force in innovations and eager to bring new knowledge to their local communities.

Another Nastya’s passion is learning languages. As of now, she is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English, also knows German and Polish. 5 languages down, many more to go!
