New Constitution in Chile
29.03.2022

PRESENTES (Chile) has restarted

In the schools Miguel de Cervantes of La Cisterna and República de México, the first workshops of 2022 of the project #Presentes: Adolescents for the constituent process took place. In both instances, 29 boys, girls and adolescents between 12 and 17 years old expressed their wishes and expectations about the constituent process through a methodology of role-playing games.

During these first workshops, the participants were briefly interviewed about their opinion regarding the activity. Alondra, a student of the República de México school shared with us: "I liked learning new things, to be in tune with each other, to think together and work as a team".

These first instances are part of a cycle of 30 workshops to be developed between the months of March and April, which aim to ensure the participation of children and adolescents in the constituent process, and whose results will be added to those obtained in the 55 workshops developed during 2021.

All workshops this year will be taught by trained facilitators who are finishing their pedagogy studies at the Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación or members of the NGO Observa Ciudadanía.
Presentes will continue to promote the participation of children and adolescents in issues that affect them or are of interest to them during 2022, through innovative and inclusive methodologies for them.
