We are happy to announce that the first activity under the implementation of Y-Lead took place from the 15th to 21st of June 2019. With successful collaboration between Nadi El Mohake Foundation (Simulation Gamers Club, Egypt), Center for Development Services (CDS) and CRISP, 12 experienced participants from different governorates across Egypt came together to develop a new Simulation Game.
The workshop started with two days of extensive understanding about Local Councils in Egypt, to pave the way for a factual and reliable simulation game. And based on their understanding of Local Councils, a simulation game was developed, and soon to be implemented 150 times by Nadi El Mohake Foundation in 15 different governorates, between September 2019 and March 2020.
The focus of this simulation game is about raising awareness and understanding of the political system in Egypt, in particular the rights and duties of Local Councils. The simulation game sheds light on the importance of enhancing social participation among the Egyptian youth, with emphasis on identifying different community needs. A deeper understanding of the role and responsibilities of Local Councils is the central learning goal of the simulation game.
We are very optimistic that the implementation of the simulation game through Nadi el Mohake Foundation will reach the targeted number of youth and women if not more!
