Evaluation Seminar of Civic Education Simulations for Georgian Schools Project

We are finalizing our project with Georgian civic education teachers. CRISP, in partnership with its Georgian counterpart CETF - Civic Education Teachers Forum, conducted the evaluation seminar in a village of Ikalto, Georgia.

In the context of the project, the participants – 20 schoolteachers from all regions of Georgia – got together for the last common event. After their study visit to Berlin (which you can read more about here) where they developed their own simulation games, the participants implemented the games in their own schools. They received a lot of feedback and emotions from their students, and every teacher had a chance to share their impressions during the evaluation seminar. “My students beg me to implement a simulation game again, to show how active and engaged they are able to be to the other teachers”, said our participant Tamar from Batumi.

During these three days in Georgia, the participants additionally developed a manual to introduce other Georgian teachers to the method, and spread the newly developed simulation games. The manual is going to be available in Georgian and English for free download very soon!

It was a great pleasure to know that almost everyone made impressive developments in their teachers' careers, and are inspired to continue working in that direction! Moreover, their students enjoyed the games and cannot wait to take part in the next ones!
