The observations and recommendations were built by systematizing different inputs, such as the participation of children and adolescents (where the results of wishes and expectations of the #Presentes project were included), opinions of civil society and experts, compilation of cases, comparative experience, among others.

During the conference, the Children's Ombudswoman stated that "historically and systematically, children and adolescents have been conceived as objects of protection, which has led to their exclusion and subordination to the adult world, what we know as adult-centrism", pointing out that the Convention has the opportunity to change this approach.

With this, and in compliance with its legal mandate, the institution seeks to have the recommendations issued considered by the Commission prior to their vote in the plenary.
