In the framework of GIZ’ RECOMIG program, we conducted a series of simulation game workshops, with the aim of fostering the cooperation of decision makers and civil society actors when it comes to improving the integration process of migrants in Morocco. The series came to an end with a three-day workshops in Rabat, where we brought together representatives of the ministry of migration, elected politicians, representatives of the regional and local administration and civil society leaders from different parts of the country. During the workshop we sensitized the participants about the needs and perspectives of different interest groups concerning the integration of migrants and developed ideas for concrete multi-stakeholder cooperation on the social and economic as well as on institutional and legal levels. We were very impressed by the commitment and level of professionalism the topic is dealt with by the different stakeholders, and returned to Germany with new inspirations.
