Short Bio

Haya has always been passionate about social development ever since she was a teenager and that’s why she academically pursued political science and public administration in Cairo University and started her career as a volunteer in various NGOs. At 19, she founded her own social initiative helping African refugees in Egypt. She continued her interest in migration policies in her BA thesis that argued for the de- securitization of migration, with Germany being a successful case study. She has further worked at the Catholic Relief Services after graduation. Haya is excited about working with CRISP to widen her expertise on pertinent issues through the projects CRISP implements to help empower youth and foster peace-building methodologies globally.
