Trainers of CRISP together with partners from Forum Theater NGO (Armenia) introduced creative tools for dealing with the conflicts on different levels. The first part of the seminar was dedicated to Simulation Games as a tool. Participants had a chance to change their perspective through playing simulation about secessionism conflicts. They also attended the workshop on creating and designing their own Simulation Game. In the second half of the seminar participants were introduced to the forum theater concept and prepare and perform their own plays. Participants also got a chance to talk about future ideas and plan follow up activities using creative tools.
Target Group
The project was open to 24 youth interested in conflict transformation and eager to acquire new skills and competences, and be introduced to creative tools, such as Simulation Game and Forum Theater. Each organization involved in the project selected 3 participants for country.
Project Goals
To exchange and raise awareness of participants about the different levels on which conflict can occur. To help participants develop competencies needed for using different tools to develop common understanding for conflict transformation and the ways of addressing it. To raise the awareness of participants about the conditions under which conflicts arise in multicultural settings. To develop effective methods to address conflict with young people through fostering their participation. The participants get the chance to experience arising conflicts from a different perspective using tools such as Simulation Games and forum theater. To develop new initiatives for and with young people for addressing conflicts on different level.
